Terms of Use

Lines a Day (“LaD”, the “Website”, or the “service” or "platform") is an online platform for users to store and review their writings. Please take a few minutes to read the following so that you understand the rules of the road before starting to use the service.

General Terms

By using the service, these terms will automatically apply to you – you should make sure therefore that you read them carefully before using the app. You’re not allowed to copy, or modify the app, any part of the app, or our trademarks in any way. You’re not allowed to attempt to extract the source code of the app, and you also shouldn’t try to translate the app into other languages, or make derivative versions. The app itself, and all the trade marks, copyright, database rights and other intellectual property rights related to it, still belong to David Buxton.

LaD is committed to ensuring that the app is as useful and efficient as possible. For that reason, we reserve the right to make changes to the app or to charge for its services, at any time and for any reason. We will never charge you for the app or its services without making it very clear to you exactly what you’re paying for.

Accounts

Your Account is personal to you. You are solely responsible for the activity that occurs on your Account, so you should keep your Account password secure. Please notify LaD support immediately of any unauthorized use of your Account. You are not allowed to use any other user’s Account. You do not need to sign up for a user account (an “Account”) in order to access the parts of the services that are available to the general public. However, some parts of the services are restricted to users with Accounts. In order to access those parts of the Application, you will have to create an Account.

By creating an Account you are representing that (a) all registration information you submit is truthful and accurate and (b) you are at least 13 years old.

Personal Data

The Platform stores and processes personal data that you have provided to us, in order to provide our Service. It’s your responsibility to keep your phone and access to the app secure. We therefore recommend that you do not jailbreak or root your phone, which is the process of removing software restrictions and limitations imposed by the official operating system of your device. It could make your phone vulnerable to malware/viruses/malicious programs, compromise your phone’s security features and it could mean that the Mobile Application won’t work properly or at all.

Publications

By submitting any Content to us, you represent that (1) the Content is your original work of authorship and (2) the Content complies with LaD Content Policy which is described below. You are solely responsible for your own Publications and the consequences of posting them on the Platform.

LaD has the right, but not the obligation, to review the content of the Content, and may remove any Content from the Platform at any time at its sole discretion.

LaD does not endorse and is not responsible for the content of any Content.

Content Policy

You will not submit any Content to the Platform that:

  • contains defamatory or libelous material;
  • promotes racism, bigotry, hatred or physical harm of any kind against any group or individual;
  • harasses or advocates harassment of another person;
  • promotes illegal activities or conduct;
  • contains any telephone numbers, street addresses or email addresses of any individual;
  • violates any copyright or right of publicity or privacy; or
  • is contrary to any applicable law.

Changes to This Terms and Conditions

We may update our Terms and Conditions from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms and Conditions on this page. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page.
